Privacy Policy — Wasup (Linz Event Index)
Controller: Alexander Krauck, Linz, Austria — alexander@business.goedly.com
What we process
Publicly published event information (titles, dates, venues, descriptions, prices, links) collected from public websites. Organizer names appear only as the source published them. We apply suppression heuristics: events that look private (residential address, personal organizer) are published without location data.
What we do NOT process
No user accounts, cookies, advertising tracking, or interest profiles. The server necessarily processes IP addresses to deliver requests and apply abuse-rate limits, but structured usage analytics do not store or use them as user identifiers. Usage analytics also do not retain prompts, search filters, tool results, location metadata, or raw client headers.
AI assistants (ChatGPT, Claude, …)
When you use Wasup through an AI assistant, your questions are handled by that assistant under its own privacy policy. Wasup receives the selected tool call and its search filters (e.g. date range, category) to return public event data, but not the surrounding conversation.
For MCP usage measurement, Wasup stores daily tool-call totals by a normalized, self-reported client family. If a client supplies a documented pseudonymous user or conversation identifier, Wasup immediately converts it to a secret-keyed one-way digest; the original identifier is not stored. These pseudonymous aggregates are retained in 30 Vienna-calendar-day buckets and removed by a nightly purge. Non-identifying totals in operational digests may be retained for trend analysis. Clients without such an identifier contribute only unattributed calls.
Wasup cannot map these hints to a name, email address, ChatGPT account, or Claude account. Client hints are never used for authentication or access decisions.
The legal basis for these minimized usage aggregates is legitimate interests under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR: operating and improving Wasup and understanding whether its public MCP tools are useful, without identifying or profiling people.
Inferred attributes
Audience estimates (e.g. expected age range) are clearly labeled machine estimates with confidence values — never assertions about individuals.
Storage & location
EU-hosted (Germany/Austria). Event claims are kept as an append-only history for data-quality purposes.
Your rights (GDPR)
Organizers can request correction or removal of their data (takedown) at the address above; deletion requests are honored including in the claims history via redaction. Response within 48 hours.
Any person whose data Wasup processes may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or object to processing based on legitimate interests at the address above. Because Wasup stores no raw AI-client identifier or identity mapping, an account name or email address alone may not let us locate a pseudonymous aggregate. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Austrian data protection authority (dsb.gv.at).
